It's only an inch or two. What's the big deal?

It wouldn't prevent you I guess but how are you gonna mount taillights and headlights and it would be pretty ugly without it not to mention the extra filth that would get in your engine bay. I don't know about where your from but in Maryland lights are required for a vehicle to be driven on the street

If you removed the GT pieces and installed a set of LX BUMPERS, you could drive the car WITHOUT THE GT PIECES. I don't know where you're from but pretty much everybody on the board knows that, smarty pantz.

No sh** Sherlock but he never said he was gonna install lx bumper covers he asked what it would look like with out the gt pieces and I take that as removing the bumper covers also which would leave you nowhere to install headlights because the header panel is riveted to the bumper cover

Taking the GT ground effects off would be sacrilege. Period.

Why? It's more weight over a lx body

I'm with you on this!

OP, just sell the GT and buy an LX. It will be much cheaper, easier and no cars will be ruined.

If I could sell that car for a hardtop or a lx I would, but its too much of a hassle when what ill get is about the same.
