The 88 T Tops are just leftover 87s.
i read that only a 100 88 t-top stang were built.
a company called cars and concepts did the t-tops conversion although some dealerships had the capability to do it because they had a template.the company which was in brighton mi has long been out of business but i do remember driving to their parking lot with a friend of mine thinking we could get a look inside.Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought I read that no foxes were produced by ford as convertibles or t-tops they were all conversions done by a third party. If that is true I would assume you would have to rely on their records or find a way to see the number of cars sent to them and assume all hatchbacks were converted into t-tops and subtract convertible production numbers from the notch's they received and maybe get a number on t-top notch's. By the way I add good luck to anyone with the time or patience to try and really figure this out.
