9 Second Club !!!!!

Well boys and girls... I finally made my first nitrous pass and finally made my first 9 second pass.

We went out to Funday Sunday in Orlando this weekend. The first pass off the trailer the car went 10.88's at 125 MPH (fastest mph ever). This is only the second time the car ever went 10's. She seemed to running very strong so i was ready to spray the nitrous the next pass.

So the setup is a Super Victor Direct Port Fogger system which is setup only on a 100 shot right now. The system is setup to activate solenoids instantly when i release transbrake. It left so hard, tires pulled 3 Ft in the air for a while. I was so excited i went from 1st to 3rd and didn't even realize it, until i'm trying to slap it into 3rd and it was already there

That pass the car went 9.80 @ 137 MPH - 1.34 60'

The next pass i went out i had a nasty nitrous backfire, because of my stupidity. I was having issues with the carb flooding itself out off a hard rev (ex. my burnouts) so the motor stalled and i went full throttle to crank it up and the nitrous was still activated and KAAAABOOOOMMMMMM!!! Its all good though, didnt hurt anything. She cranked up and drove on the trailer and sounded fine.

I didnt get a video of the 9.80 pass but i did get a video on the nitrous backfire. ENJOY!

Great job! How did she feel in the 9's? Only the second time in the 10's then head right for a solid 9 pass

. To bad you did not get the 9.8 pass on video! Looks good with the hood!

I repainted and did some body work to that hood just for that event, it was looking so pathetic (still does underneither). Its been through hell and back. I video tape everything, i have no idea why i didnt get someone to tape my first ever nitrous pass... Stupid

You went from 10.80s to 9.80s on a 100 shot? Damn, son, you were doing something right that day, haha. Get out there and do it again, but get pics doing it this time, gotta love seeing a Fox hang the wheels!

BTW, we need more pics of your car. It's a 408 right?

The motor is setup for nitrous, nitrous cam and nitrous conveter. I knew it was going to pick up on a small shot. Now its time to back up the 9.80 with some video proof then bust into the 8's with a 200! ahahahah

Nice combo. Glad to hear that nothing was damaged. Also hats off to the safety guy for not gettin wild with the extinguisher and having enough sense to see how bad it was (in this case, wasn't) before goin bucky with the nozzle. Saw that happen once....an uncalled for mess.

Gotta love the Jack Frost right off the whack of the loud pedal!!!

Awesome times and gorgeous car! I can only imagine what a 9 second pass feels like, haha. Even if there was a track in NY, I doubt I'll ever own anything that fast. Congrats man!

Great job man, car looks great. Loved the nitrous burp too. If it weren't so stinkin expensive to fill the bottle I may have already gone to spray and slapped a 200 shot on. Now I wanna 9 sec. slip!

Thanks man, the cost of the nitrous will get old REAL quick... thats the reason iv been thinking of a turbo setup, its like having a infinite bottle of nitrous

It cost 2.99 per pound, so about $30 for a 10# bottle. I was told that should last me 3-4 passes. I dont how accurate that is though. I run it for 9 seconds at 100 HP, thats different than 13 seconds at 100 HP, so who knows. I do know i launched the car at 1200 PSI and at the end of the pass it was 850 PSI.
