90 LX Hatch deal that I need help with...

Hey guys. I have a offer for a 90 LX hatch with about 99K on the motor and 1K on the AOD. I was looking for a 5 speed but for the price I don't think I should pass it up. The car has 3 dings, 2 on the hood and one on the left rear quarter. The front bumper needs to be replaced and the LX right tail light has a hole in it. The interior is a little funny to me but I am gonna post pics to see what you guys think happened to this car to get these seats. I can get the car for about $2200 and it is supposed to have 4.10s, alum drive shaft,

Paul1580: AOD with 4:10s in the rear
Paul1580: aluminum driveshaft
Paul1580: BBK off road h pipe
Paul1580: flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers
Paul1580: 99k on motor.. less than 1000 on tranny
Paul1580: needs fuel pump but he says if you want it he will have it fixxe
Paul1580: speedo is out of wack cause of gears


I have the whole conversation. I don't know if he floats around here or not but man, this could be a steal. I am waiting on the VIN to run a carfax. If it comes back clean then i might have to make the trip. Let me know what you guys think.

To give a comparison, I paid $3800 for my 90 LX hatch 5 spd. I went up to KC to get it.

If you really want a 5speed, keep looking.

IS the cost of the tranny swap worth the deal on this car. Also with 4.10 gears this car probably saw track time. I'd have someone look over the engine that you trust. Considering it has a new tranny and DS, then I'd check for other race related wear and tear.

Consider myself talked out of it. I know it would be a fun car but something has to be up. I may still get it just cause I wouldn't do the swap for a while. It would be cooler to get the 5 speed but eventually I would do it anyway. I don't know. I will still run a VIN. Pass this around if some one wants it. PM me and I will set you up.
