I'm in the Air Force and will be leaving for basic soon. I should have around $8000 when I come back and I'm thinking of making my car a 5.0 EFI. I have a few questions, such as how much would it cost as I would like to have plenty left for body work, paint, etc. and what parts I would need for an easy install. I may try to do this myself so I would like to know if anyone on here has done this and if anyone has any links or anything that may be helpful. I've done search after search on google and on forums everywhere and can't find any articles. Thanks for your help.

Cost depends on your skill, shopping abilities, tools and working conditions. To do a fast & cheap swap, you need to have a donor car. That way you dont have to be searching for a tiny part. As far as cheaper, sell your car and find the car that you want. You should be able to find a better car to start with. Possibly a better SN95, but it is all up to personal choice. Plan to spend 3k on paint and body and work from there.

Yea, I've thought a donor car would prolly be my best bet, however I would like to get a new motor with no miles on it. Anyone have any good websites for parts or any links to somewhere to find 4 lug cobra wheels?
