Looking for a good quality k member. I like the maximum motorsport products but they seem quite a bit higher in price. Is there another company or companies that are as good a quality as MM but a little more affordable?
You could look into team z motorsports, I believe there more designed around drag race applications but still worth a look. I have no personal experience but have been reading many good reviews and considering that route when its time. Sure someone else will chime in with hands on experience.

MM all day or the stock k member for street use.
I have seen many drag cars wheels up 3' in the air on stock k members. I believe the loss in weight is not worth running a aftermarket k member on the street but that is my opinion.
Spring perch mount cups are different and depending on the year, control arm mount points can be narrower than v8.
If street driving is what you are after the MM is the only one I’d recommend. Most others are geared towards drag racing. However, at the end of the day you’ll spend a ton of money to drop 10 pounds. The stock k member is still stronger too.
Keep your street car a street car and you’ll enjoy it much more
I have had a lot of different K members stock to Team Z to UPR, MM, etc.
The stock one works fine with 5.0L and most 5.8L V8 swaps. If you must put an aftermarket one in for whatever reason, MM is the only one I actually like. It is a little lighter than the stocker but not by much.
Regardless of which one you choose, be aware that most of them won't accept stock control arms and stock rack location. most are "improved" such that you MUST change to coilovers (no spring pockets), tubular control arms, and then you'll have to address bump steer and sometimes even some of the aftermarket K members move the control arms forward/outward, then you get into tire/fender clearance problems. This is one of those situations that one must plan for, research highly....because like what I went through, if you don't, you end up with several thousand dollars of necessary changes just to make a little more room for headers and starter....
The MM k member is a little heavier BUT it is also a LOT beefier than most others. They actually test their stuff....and the customer service there is top notch. I had a QA1 K member in a fairmont once; bolt holes were off a little, called the company to discuss, they said "that's the nature of aftermarket parts". I got it in, not easily mind you, and decided not to buy their products anymore. Customer service goes a long way; even how the first person you call talks to you...that is your first impression and if it's not good, the company's image as a whole is damaged. And for those that work for a living...keep that in mind....
Look into the pa racing k member. I have one on my car and it’s nice.
I‘d have to disagree about team z stuff not being good for a street car. Have a friend who runs all their stuff on a street car and has no complaints.
You really can’t go wrong with MM, team z, upr, or PA
No complaints here with AJE. They accept stock arms and the spring cups are available too. Been running AJE for over 10 years. It was updated over the last couple of years ( I have the newer version now ). Not as strong as MM but worked for me daily driven for years. My next K member will be MM though.
