91 mustang stalls out

My wifes 91 is stalling out after you drive it for awhile and you stop at a red light. if you put it in nuetral you will be ok but if you leave it in drive it will die, it has an automatic trany. can anyone help me

what rpm is the motor running at in nuetral and in gear once warmed up?

Sounds like something to do with your tourqe coverter or somthings sticking ' Id try some transmission Conditioner and see if that helps.

ok looks like it idols in nuetral around 8-900 rpms and around 600 when it dies
if not in nuetral
