'92 AOD speedogear question

Okay, from what I've looked up, for a 1992 AOD car with 3.73 gears, you need the white 23 tooth gear. However, my buddy says you need the red one, which one do you really need? Also, is it a real biotch to change the speedogear on the AODs?

not at all, you just disconnect the cable at the tranny, slide the old one off, slide the new one on, then reconnect it... shouldn't take 5 minutes

i'm not sure which gear you'd need... you're right, it is the 23 tooth gear, but i don't know what color it is...

white one. it the one you need. Its still like 5mph fast though.

There is also a little c-clip that holds the gear on. A small screwdrive will slide it out of the gear, then it will pop back in place when you have the new one on and in the right spot.
