First:
1) Blinkers, HVAC and convertible top switch no longer are working.
Hazards, headlights, radio DO work.
a) I will check the fuses as a matter of principle but am I looking at the ignition switch in regard to the blinkers? If so, where is it?
b) Is there a fuse for the convertible top switch? I get nothing either way (up or down) so I'm guessing it's an electrical problem as opposed to a mechanical issue. If there is a fuse, where is it? I didn't notice anything listed in the fuse panel diagram I saw.

2) MSD Pro-Billet Distributor. I need to replace the cap and rotor. Does anyone know if the cap and rotor for this is different than the Ford pieces? I know they are MSD and I plan on replacing them with MSD but didn't know if I could just go to Advance Auto and ask for a MSD cap and rotor set for a 5.0L Ford.

3) Plugs for GT40 iron heads. What Autolite plug is recommended? (GT40 intake and heads, ported and polished), MSD 6AL ignition with Blaster Coil and Pro-Billet distributor, full exhaust (1 5/8 equal lengths to 2.5 catted x-pipe to 2.5 cat-back).

Thanks for the help. The car has been in the family since new and now it is mine. My father hasn't had the time nor energy to keep it in prime running condition - I will. Gotta start with a tune up (plugs, cap and rotor, fuel filter) and then get the electricals fixed.

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

the blinkers and the top both run off the same fuse. replace it and I wouldnt be surprised if that cleared your issue.

I had the same problem with blinkers, HVAC, and convertible top. It was the ignition switch. It's located on the steering column, and I believe you need a t27 anti theft bit.

Thanks guys. Looks like I'll be replacing the ignition switch tonight.

Of course I'll check the fuses - probably just pick up a box of assorted fuses while I'm getting the ignition switch.

Gonna be in the 90's this weekend so getting that top working is my priority tonight
