92 mustang gt t5 conversion

I recently completed an AOD to T5 transmission swap in my 1992 Mustang GT. The swap went smoothly overall, but I have encountered an issue where the engine does not rev past 3,000 RPM without experiencing popping and misfiring. However, if I disconnect the transmission harness or depress the clutch while holding it, the engine can rev freely without any issues. I am seeking assistance from anyone who may have encountered a similar issue after performing a transmission conversion.

Need to know exactly what you swapped when you did the conversion. Harnesses, ECU, changed wiring pinouts on existing harnesses, bypassed the clutch switch, etc.

Check voltage at the coil with your suspect connector, connected and then disconnected.

Pull EEC codes to see if there's anything for circuit faults.

I kept the original automatic module I only swap transmission and t5 harness I also went back to auto harness for testing purposes is still had the same issue
