93 Cobra MC W/ Sn-95 booster

So I just placed this order with M.M........

Products:
1 x MM Stainless Brake Hoses, 1979-93, SN95 calipers, front (MMBK8F) =

1 x Brake Proportioning Valve, 1979-93 (BPV-1) = $42.97
1 x Brake Proportioning Valve Eliminator kit, 1987-93 (MMBAK-6) = $19.97
1 x Master Cylinder adapter kit, 93 Cobra/94-95 GT M/C, 1987-93 (MMBAK-3) =
$34.95
1 x Master Cylinder, 1993 Cobra, 1" bore, new, 1979-95 (BMC-2) = $99.00

I have a M/C & Booster off of a 94GT that I got for free a while back. Can I use the 94 GT Booster with the 93 Cobra MC? It was my understanding that the boosters (93 cobra & 94/95 GT) are actually identical except for a difference with the mounting bolts. Can anyone confirm if this is correct and if so what do I need to modify in order to mount the SN booster at the factory fox location?

I'm starting to get excited now... I finally almost have all the parts I need to start my swap!

iirc the 94-95 just has slightly different mounting bolt locations...otherwise should work the same...im ordering a 93 cobra MC and booster just for ease of installation. just let someone else verify that though. i know what you mean i have a stack of parts waiting for my swap in the spring

Yes, it will work.

Make sure you have the correct nuts for the booster studs. The SN95 booster uses metric. Also, i'd recommend trimming off maybe 1/2 or slightly less of the studs, but make sure you chase the threads so you can put the nuts back on.

For the install, the lower passenger side stud will need to get redrilled as it's in a different spot than the fox booster. Also, all the holes should be slotted slightly to the pass side to make install easy. Not difficult, but it can be a PITA which is why i recommend to get a 93 booster if you choose to buy new. SLightly easier install.

Also, TEST the booster first. It's common for the MC to develop a leak and leak fluid into the MC, which eats the rubber inside and causes leaks. So if the booster has rust on the frontside under the MC, i prob wouldn't install it. I need to replace my SN95 booster because of this. Doing the job twice blows

Thank you for such a detailed post I think maybe I'll go and order a 93 booster... can you recommend who has the best price on them? I saw late model was selling them for like 127+ shipping.. that seems a little high...

I found it on rockauto.com also for around 70 but there is a 30$ core charge and then shipping I'm over 100$ again...

Cardone makes the OEM boosters, so i kinda tend to sway towards them for parts store boosters.

Autozone sells it for $99.99 + $21 core.

Toss em the fox booster...they won't know. There's 0 market for used Fox boosters anyway. I know cuz i tried selling my stock MC and booster for dirt cheap and nobody wanted them.

I'm doing the 5 lug and rear disc conversion as well and I got all the parts off of a 94 mustang.

I'm in the process of collect parts as well and wanted to confirm that in addition to your parts list here, the only other things needed are:
- Ebrake Cables
- Softline to hardline adapter (x2)
- FMS M-2450-A Plug

The MMBAK-3 is the 3-2 port adapter right?

And also, this is the first time I've read about the proportioning valve elminator kit - is this required?

stock proportioning valve** you either have to eliminate it or gut the stock one if iirc
