I did a search on this topic and was unable to find a solution. My 93 factory cd player will not eject a cd from my stereo. The cd is stuck inside of the unit, and will not eject out. I would be interested in discovering a method to get the cd out without breaking my stereo, and was hoping someone may know the solution. Thanks in advance.

try disconnecting your battery this will cut power to the stereo
(well the whole car too) then see, it may eject it when it repowers.

That's what I would try. It has worked for me before on aftermarket head units!

There should be a reset button too you could try.

Thanks for all the input everyone. Unfortunantly, disconnecting the power from the car didnt work. I thought it would work, but after disco'ing the battery, the cd remained stuck in the unit when the power was restored to the car. Blk92stangg, I tried pressing multiple buttons on the unit to see if anything would work, but I dont recall seeing a reset button. I will check again right now and see if i can find it. Thanks again.

Darn, didnt see a reset button. Gearbanger 101, yea i thought about that idea already, but the space is so tight i couldnt fit pliers into it. I was hoping to be able to keep the stock cd player in the car, but looks like i may have to end up getting another unit. I'm sure a new factory ford unit is priced way high, so looks like I will have to find a non-flashy, stock-looking cd unit now. Thanks again to everyone for your input.

If you do have a reset button, it will be a super small hole, one that you would need a pin or something thin to push it...it won't look like a button at all, and it probably won't be labeled either. If you get a new one, I would suggest investing a bit more and getting one that plays mp3s and WMA files. I can get hours of music on 1 cd, and its great.

If you pull the unit out, the top of it can be popped off. Your CD will be right on top of everything. Its been so long since this happened to me that I can't remember exactly how its laid out, but there is a lever that you can slide back and it releases the CD. Good luck.
