When I start my 93 the airbag light comes on then goes off. Then it will flash in code 3 flashes pause 4 flashes Then it repeats the sequence continually. Its been this way since I got the car. I dont care if the bag works or not. But if its an easy fix I wouldnt mind fixing it. If its a big hassle or expensive I will just remove the light bulb next time im in the dash.

Anyone know what the flash codes are trying to tell me?

'93 Mustang, which indicates that code 34 is low resistance (short) in the airbag circuit.

That is all i could find.

I already went there.

It skips right over the 93

I was looking in there and the 92 and 95 are the same must be the same for 93 too.

Seems like the Clock Spring is the Most Likely Culprit for Code 34.

My 1990 tore up the clockspring, cruise and horn wouldnt work either.Ford had a replacement upgrade available,it was 105 bucks and easy to change although I remember trimming a bracket to make it fit.About 2 yrs ago, still works fine.

old thread but the 93 clock spring is different than 92 cars.

its part number F3ZZ14A664A but is obsolete and Ford doesnt have them.

I failed state inspection b/c of the same code 34...
So Im not sure how I can get it to pass since no one makes or has a new 93 mustang clockspring...

Yep the 1993 shares the same style set up as the SN95, that is why you can use an SN95 Steering Wheel on a 93 Column.

I was not saying that a SN95 Clockspring would work, I was reaffirming the fact that the 93 Model is different from the previous Models. I know that you can use an SN95 Steering Wheel on a 93 because it will plug right in.
