Got the call from the machine shop today. Block is cracked in more than 10 places. (Thanks to the Montana sub-zero temps.)

I know a guy who has a 302 from a 93 lincoln but Im not sure if this is a roller block?? I know the ford trucks werent roller until 93 but I'm not to sure about Lincoln's.

Anyone know if this will work??
Also are they E'7 heads?

Thanks!!

it's a roller block. but the upper intake is the same as the 94/95 mustang 5.0 ho. i only know because i pulled one out of a 93 lincoln vii. unless of course whoever owned it before swapped it in and i could be totally wrong. you might also want to find out about what type of pistons they have on that 93 vii.

All I'm going to be using is the block. I just havent seen it to see if it's roller or not. Do you know what heads are on it??

do years matter in this case? because they did not make a 93' mark vii (7) in 93 the mark viii (8) came out. which has a 4.6 dohc in it. just thought i would point this confusion out in case it tell you if its a roller or not.

stangster you are right, i stand corrected. the mark viii came out in 93 for some reason i always thought it was 94. then the 5.0ho motor was in a 93 continental i pulled.

Ok so I found out It is a 92 roller block. Not sure yet if the heads are E7's. Havent seen them yet.
When I checked the pistons for ring positon I found that they both have valve reliefs, The top ring is in the same position, the GT piston is forged and the lincoln is cast. I found they also changed the casting letter in the 90's to an F! 80's blocks are E castings while 90's are F's.

Thanks for the input guys I'll let you know if there E7's as well.
