93 lx with 351....having a problem

hey fellas. i have a problem that i cant figure out. there is a skip or surge when im cruising. it doesnt do it when im accelerating hard but it does when im slowly shifting gears. when i get to fifth and im doing...say 60....just cruising the car skips like the wires or plugs but when this happens my rpms dont move like it would if it was a problem with plugs or wires. and after the car warms up...within minutes of driving it....the car feels very slow from a takeoff...my thottle response goes way down. the car feels real sluggish. i dont know if these two problems are linked or not. could fuel pressure be my problem? what else could be wrong. its really aggravating to drive it with this going on. any help would be appreciated.

what kinda distributor are you guys running.? few years back when i first got mine together i had a very similar problem and it ended up being the TFI module that came on the MSD peice...swaped my stock one over and it went away, i have had nothing but problems with the msd, few months after the tfi went the pick up went...again replaced it with a factory one and it was fine...
