93 Vert. Quarter window.

Well I can't figure out why it won't work. The motor is fine, but when u push the button the shaft just goes back and forth and don't turn so the motor can go down. And now my other window that did work is messed up and doin the same thing as the other 1.

What do you mean about the shaft going back and forth?

Did you open the back of the motor up to inspect inside it yet?

Good luck.

Well when I had the motor off and pressed the button it spun just fine. But when I put it back on it go about a half inch turn then stop and go back. Its hard to explain, but these things are frustratin me. Its like its tryin to turn to put the window down, but it bindin.

When the motor was out, how was the regulator and window glass travel?

The rear windows are pretty lame if you ask me. They tend to get a bit of channel slop which indeed can cause all but the strongest motor to not get the window up.

Have you tried pulling up on the window glass to see if it helps? This is useful for diagnostics.

Good luck.

I totally forgot about this before but I might aswell add it now... so my dad took apart one of my rear quarter window motors.... and did something to fix it... can't remember what exactly... sodered something.... but anyways... when we would plug it in to test it out it worked fine... but then when we actually put it in place it was somehow grounding out... sorry so long ago so detail is kinda weak... but you know the casing on the rear quarter window motor... I had to put a thin piece of cardboard inside around the (can't remember what it's called but cylinderish looking thing inside the motor casing)... not in the way of any moving parts... but just to keep the thing from grounding out..... I didn't read all the posts and am not sure if you figured it out.... but for some reason if you ever had the motor apart just make sure.. that the electrical connections aren't grounding out at some point for some reason... Sorry I know the details are quite vague............
