I've purchased a remanufactured engine and the start-up / installation instructions from the remanufactured engine state the oil baffle plate on the underside of the lower intake manifold should be removed and cleaned. This baffle plate is mounted with rivets that are no longer available by Ford or Summit Racing.
My questions are
1.) How do I remove these rivets without damaging the LIM or plate?
2.) Where can I find new replacement rivets?
3.) Is there a concern with reusing the original rivets?
4.) What is the concern with reinstalling the LIM on the new engine without taking the plate off and cleaning it?
5.) Other options?
