94 5.0 fuel relay problems

I have a 94 mustang GT 5.0. The car died on me the other day on the way to work. I thought it might be the fuel pump because i could not hear it when it turned the car on. I replaced it and it didnt fix the problem. I think it might be the relay but everything I have read says that the fuel pump relay is in the CCRM. I dont have a lot of experience here but if I have to replace this it sounds real expensive. Does anybody have any ideas or maybe give me some info that I havent thought of yet. Any help would be appreciated.

Someone will probably have a better solution, but this happen to me. Granted it was the fuel pump, but part of the problem was also the fuel filter. It was so clogged and no idea when it was last changed. Start there. I know the smartest way is to isolate the problem, just do it smallest price first. Just my 2 cents.

Check for spark and injector pulsing. The CCRM rarely fails, but it has been known to happen. I'd be looking more toward the PIP in the distributor. A lack of spark and injector pulsing along with a fuel pump that doesn't prime/run is a pretty definitive diagnosis of the PIP being bad.

Sounds stupid but there is a inertia swith in the trunk by the drivers rear taillight that shuts off the fuel pump. Did you try pushing the button to reset it? Many Mustangs were towed in for thet switch getting thrown.
