Hi, I'm just wondering if the 94-95 engine is run off of EDIS...the reason being I am putting a late model engine in my 66 and want to run it off of EDIS...which is much easier if I can get factory VR sensor brackets...etc...I ran my neon engine off of EDIS-4 at one point and I could have sworn when I went to get the trigger wheel I asked for a 36-1 trigger wheel from a 95 mustang GT(which I know had the 302) I know later 4.6L had the EDIS wheel, but I was just wondering if there was a 5.0L that had it, which would make mounting the VR sensor much easier, I will be running the engine with a standalone system that can take advantage of Ford's EDIS system for spark control, rather than a distributor....anyway any help is appreciated

Nope, we are not EDIS. You might be thinking of later Mountaineers and Explorers with the 5.0L.

Good luck.

Electronic distributorless ignition system.

Oh FWIW, the V6's use a 36 tooth trigger IIRC. That might have been what you were thinking of (if it wasn't an SUV trigger).

so possibly later explorers/mountaineers had EDIS? trigger wheel mounting isnt my issue, I just hate making VR sensor brackets...so I was hoping for one from a stock application that will work, well thanks for the info anyway guys

Yes, Exploraniers were EDIS.

Sorscode (that's a username of a gent named Danny on here) can probably get you the info you need quickly. He's a whiz with the V6/V8 and EEC-IV/EEV-V interchange info. I believe he's running an EDIS set-up on a 5.0 as well.

Good luck.
