I have an oppurtuninty to trade my white stock 94 cobra with 98k miles and 3500 cash for a 00 gt with 52k miles, It has a 01 cobra front bumper, a boss cybertstallion hood, euros (Ide lose them asap), stainless insert letters in the back bumper and is in good shape overall.. the paint work on the front bumper and hood could be better but isnt that bad. my cobra is in good shape with everything as stock except for a shopping cart bump on the right rear panel. so what do you guys think?

I would keep your Cobra, but that's me. A 00GT is nothing, your Cobra at least has something going for it. Get that dent fixed and mod out that Cobra!

well you have a point but

Im really havin a hard time not wantin to get into something with half the miles thats six years newer and is faster. especially when I dont have the time to really mod one like I would like and they will probably live life as they are. . I dont know this is a tough choice as i love my cobra, and like that gt. plus I have a black 65 that would look good beside a 00 black gt.

Well if you're just looking for reliability I guess get the 00, but that's already four years old already. 98k is nothing for a 5.0.

Stay or go

Without a doubt, keep the Cobra! They are limited....make only so many a year. Definietly keep it. Just my .02 .

if the gt has a transferable warrenty and you can give him say 2500-3000(3500 sounds like a lot) I would say go for it, cause if your just driving it and not modding it the car is a little more refined, faster, and gets better mpg. But dont do it unless there is a warrenty cause shat for those things are expensive. just my oppinion.

I would have a toughtime with that decision to. An 02 GT probably rides alot nicer than a 94 Cobra and has a smoother egine as well. As far as being faster, you would not have to break the bank for your Cobra to compete with a newer GT. I would keep the Cobra not because it's a 94/95 but just because it's a Cobra. I almost sold mine last year to buy a 68 Camaro SS. I came to my senses at the last minute and kept the Cobra (glad I did).

thanks guys... I knew when i posted that it would probably be a little biased, but thats ok. another consideration is the cloth in the cobra versus leather in the gt. plus maybe its time for something new? oh and the gt has 95 cobra wheels on it right now, because the owner also has a 95 cobra and the gt had cobra r's and he switched them. I could probably get the r's back on it if I took the gt.

Keep the Cobra. Also 5.0's out live 4.6's, right? Also I would imagine the Cobra is faster, but who knows. THe warranty is only transferrable if he bought the extended warranty.

Without a doubt. Keep the Cobra and invest the $3500 in the engine. That'll cover your concerns over the "higher" mileage and give you the zoot to fly by the 02 GT.

The leather sucks in the GT's anways, I prefer the cloth hands down.

Keep the Cobra, why trade in a rare/easier to mod car + cash, for a much more common, more expensive to mod car? If youre gonna part with your car at least upgrade to a 03 Cobra or LS1.
