port your heads and intakes, trick flow stage 1 cam or custom cam, 3:55 rear gear or steeper...

or before spending all the money on porting, buy some aluminum heads, and supporting intakes. but then you should also go ahead and upgrade to a slightly larger injector, MAS, throttle body, to get full potential out of your combo. just my opinion

supercharging is the easiest. If you put some AFR 185s and a decetn cam in there you'd probably easily be there. What do you have done so far?

If I had to do it all over again I would put a turbo kit on my stock stang and go blasting. You can make enough power to split the block with a 70MM turbo 60lb/hr injectors a 75MM MAF and 255 LPH fuel pump oh and a tune/tuner.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

Very true. You'd probably have to break into the engine anyway to put better head gaskets on it anyway though.

pull all the crap out of the trunk, pull the passenger side seat, put on good set of lower control arms and some good sticky track tires and see where you are then before spending big $$$ on engine mods.

You didnt say what you run now. You need a starting point so you know how much you actually have to drop

the quickest answer is always more power but traction and suspension can get you a specific ET goal just as quick as more power will and often at a cheaper price

The thing to think about when you drag race is

When you gain a tenth on your sixty foot

That is good for 1.5 to 2.0 tenths on the big end

So ... You see how sticky tires
and
Practice ... Practice ... Practice

Can yield impressive gains

Since you have a Cobra with the above mods, most of the ingredients power-wise are already there for a low 13's ET. I think you just need stickier tires, upgraded rear control arms, weight reduction, and practice to get there.

My cobra which is kinda sick right now with awful 2.14 60ft's and nothing but exhaust, gears and CAI has run 13.90's and I could easily get mid to low 13's with some sticky tires. With the mods done to your car rear lower control arms and some sticky tires on a decently prep'ed track should be good for low 13's possibly even high 12's. It will take some practice though.
