I have a 94 cobra, when I bought the car there was no battery tray in the car, the batter was tied down with a bungie cord. As I was taking the car home the battery came untied fell over the hot post grounded out on the aluminum part of the power steering hose the car died completely. I try to start the car back it would not crank if I push start the car and pop the clutch it will start and run but when I turn the key I hear a click but the starter will not rotate I have no clue if its a fusible link or what if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
you may have killed the battery, have it and the charging stytem tested. if all is good alot of the time a solid click is the sound the starting solinoid makes when bad. if its a rapid click than it can be a dead battery or a loose wire. if you have a test light it will make finding the problem alot smoother.
Agreed. Once the battery and fuses are all known to be good, if the starter interlock circuit needs checking, there's a starter relay in the underhood fusebox. It's a nice place to do testing (so you know which way to go).
