94 Cobra

What kind of Transmission came in the 94 Cobra's. I was told it was a "cobra" trans cause the output shaft had a tapperd bearing on it. Is it a T-5 or what?

Yeah its a T5 but it is different than 93 and older stangs, it has a longer input shaft that and they dont make them any more thats why I got a 3550 when my T5 blew up.

It is a Cobra spec T5, rated a little more than the GT T5's. The Cobra T-5's Had Phosphate-Coated Gears & Stronger Bearings. The '94's Also Used A Lighter Flywheel Compared To The Previous Year Model (2.7 lbs. Lighter).

thanks for the info.. havnt heard good things about the T-5 either.. But this one has survived so far, but I doubt it will after we get the motor put back together.
