1) I read the autozone heater cores are cheaply made/rebuilt. But is it better than a factory one that is used? I have a lot of things to do to the car and would rather it be all together for a while than only do two or three things and have 4 things still wrong with it. I can't afford to put all factory stuff back in it.
also, I would only have to pull and install one dash. MINE!
2) rear 1/4 window regulators, the railing to make the windows go up and down. (conv) would it be best just to buy new ones? ($60) each at zone. or try my luck with used factory one? Local bone yard has two conv's there.

More important than who makes the core is being sure the restrictor is still in the hose on the supply side.

i would go with a new factory core.with all the work involved in pulling the dash,it would be a shame to have to pull it again to replace a leaky used core,it could be a ticking time bomb.as for the regulators,go with the boneyard.
