So I haven't been on the forum in awhile and I thought I would come back to have a few questions answered for me.
I plan on put a single turbo setup in my stang, and I would like to know what I need to do to the engine to make sure that it is ready and also that the engine will remain reliable for time after the turbo. My second question is (I do have a couple turbos in mind) does anyone have any turbo set-ups that they would recomend to me?

I appreciate ahead of time!

if its a stock engine, compression test to make sure its strong enough for a turbo, if all is good there dont run any more than 6-9psi, personally stock engine i wouldnt go over 7psi, and make sure you have a good tune! thats the most important part for your engine to survive.

Ok, lets say my engine is strong enough. Are there any turbo kits that you would recommend?

Based in your questions and your concern about reliability you probably shouldn't be buying a turbo. Just being honest because they can be a lot of work.

I can second that, they take a ton of work, as for the kits I have no experience with any premade kits for the mustang.

If your looking for a nice power gain thats "fairly" quick and easy to install look into a supercharger.

Okay, what supercharger set-up would you guys reccomend? Also is there anything I would need to do to the engine to make sure it is running safe and as reliable as possible?

vortech kits are very common and reliable as well as fairly cheap.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

Vortech or Paxton. Both very reliable brands with a lot of tech available. If you call up a reputable chip guy and tell him you need a chip for a Vortech with 42 lb/hr injectors your pretty much guarantees to get a spot on tune.
