1994 GT vert, auto- 65mm TB, K&N, Flowmaster cat-back, pulleys, no smog, h-pipe, BBK equal lengths, 155lph pump, 3.27 gears, bumped timing.

2000 GT - auto, K&N otherwise stock.

Who wins in the quarter? Based on equal drivers?

It will be really close. If I had to guess I would say the 2000 GT cuz the 94 is a Vert.

I run dead even with my friends 2000 GT with K&N and Exhaust. We are also 5 Speeds though.

The 2000 GT will crush the 1994 GT convertible.

The 2000 GT could run 14.5 or so, the 94 GT is going to STRUGGLE HARD for 14s.

The 2000 should beat the 94 pretty easily. The 94 is an auto vert (and while I don't believe being a vert makes a HUGE difference, it's good for a couple tenths unfortunately ) and the 94 has no real mods. 2000 should have it.

Assuming equal drivers...the 2000 GT will walk away...

They can run low 14's (a select few with good drivers/conditions hit high 13's) and they trap 97-99mph...

5spd or auto? I ran a lot of 14.2's with my intake, TB, h-pipe, and gears. With ported heads you should be able to take a mostly stock 99+ stang.

The 2000 GT will win even if it was towing a '94 Gt behind it.

Also, the AODE (4R70W) that came with a 2000 GT had a much lower first gear than our AODE's. He will probably take you off the line pretty bad and from there it will be over. My car can hang with my buddies 99 GT 5-speed pretty good from a roll, but on the top end and down low (5 speed vs. auto) he smokes me. Those 99+ 4.6's really come around after 3500 RPM's too.

I raced my friend's auto 99 GT (cat-back and a CAI) from a 30 mph roll to about 80mph.

We started dead even, and ended with the nose of his car about 2-3 feet out front. When our cars first down shifted, I took a slight jump (transgo kit vs. stock) and we pretty much stayed door-to-door, ending with him out front by a couple feet. He should have had me by at least a 1/2 car length, so I thought I did good against him.

Since your car is a vert, I don't think you'll do as well. Stock gear/motor aode vert's are dogs. They run mid-15's. The vert is gonna need more to beat him.
