Hey y'all my brother has a 94 gt and the chenck engine light flashes on and off and the codel it gives is 52, does anyone know about this. He got some info that it has to do with a airbag sensor bolt.... Any help??

Our codes are 3 digit codes, not two. Get a haynes manual and read through it on how to check the codes properly. There are steps you need to go through, otherwise you will get additional codes.

It is a 5-speed, someone he talked to said it was a airbag sensor bolt? The car had been sitting for at least a year, and appears to been in a accident, but the airbag was not deployed. How many airbag sensors are in the front of a 94 gt? I'm thinking he needs to get a Haynes book!!:D

Someone needs to figure out where this code came from.

You can retrieve the air bag codes yourself.

If I were your friend, I would start over by pulling all codes myself.

Good luck.

This link may help.

Here's an exerpt from it that may help.

DTC 52: INTERMITTENT OR REPAIRED LOST BATTERY FEED

Prolog: If you get one of these stupid Code52's "most of the time" this happens when the battery is disconnected. Only mid-90's stangs throw codes when that is done.
If you got the code after you disconnected the battery, then just go straight to the Diagnostic Code Clearing Section.
End of Prolog:

Normal Operation
Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code «12» . Return to DTC 52 for Pinpoint Tests.
Possible Causes
Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code «12» . Return to DTC 52 for Pinpoint Tests.

Electrical Schematic -- Diagnostic Trouble Code 52

Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code «12» . Return to DTC 52 for Pinpoint Tests.
52-1: UNDERSTAND FUNCTION
52-2: CHECK IF REPAIRED
52-3: CLEAR AND CHECK FOR OTHER DTCS
52-4: CHECK CHARGING SYSTEM
52-5: CHECK BATTERY FEED

I didn't read any of the other post. I just check my Ford repari Manual. It is an airbag code. Code 52 is Intermittent or repaired lost batter feed.

Here's how to clear that code.

1. Locate the airbag diagnostic trouble code clear (it is located beneath the glove box - a gray connector with 3 prongs) It may be tricky to find. Mine was tape to the antenna cable.

2. Cycle the ignition switch to OFF and then to Run.

3. Observe air bag indicator (you will see the codes 52-85)

4. Use a jumper wire on the 2 outside prongs (do not use the middle prong) to short the circuit. Note: This short must be made after the diagnostic trouble code flashes completely one time, but before the warning light stays on continuosly.

5. Keep the jumper wire on until you hear airbag diagnostic monitor tone sounds (approx. 5 secongs)

6. Remove the jumper wire within 25 seconds after the diagnostic monitor tone sounds.

Note: After the code 52, you may also get code 12. Just follow the same procedures to clear the code.

Then you are done. :D
