Explorer Intake For stock 94

Question have a somewhat stock 94 mustang and ran across some explorer upper and lower intake manifold labeled 5.0L/V8 for under 200 are they worth getting or should I save up and get other ones later? What kinda of improvement would I get so on and so on...?

Yes it is worth it. It is essentially a cast version of the GT40 intake. Very similar to the 93 and 94/95 Cobra intakes. I ran 0.36sec faster in the 1/4mile with just the Explorer intake swap.

On the stock heads, you may see 10HP. To install them you will need an elbow for your throttle body and your stock strut brace will not fit. $200 isn't a bad price.

I was originally looking into an explorer intake to start my engine build, but changed my mind... because of the big numbers i'm looking for, but from what i've heard it's a pretty good intake.

I just picked up an upper and lower gt40 intake fuel rails injectors and TB, it was a good deal, (200$) and im optimistic about the swap, other than the strut brace, is there any tricks to make the install easier? And is the elbow adapter nessecary or can i just make a new intake tube?
