94 v6 can you advance timing

I would like to know if the timing on 94 V6 can be set.
I remove the grey block and tried adjusting the timing by moving the camshaft position sensor, there was no advancement or retarding of the timing. My timing light no1 cyl. bat, pos / neg hookup. Need specific help Thanks

Nope. no way of adjusting the timing without getting a computer tune. Rotating the camshaft position sensor won't do you any good, the sensor doesn't work that way.

I was thinking that was my problem, so any suggestions on a good tuner that can be purchased or do I just try to find a good shop.
I have always preferred fixing things myself unless it is just to complicated.
