hey need some help got a 94 mustang today it had a v6 in it that is gone the tranny is still in the car i think its a t5, got a 4.6 w/ wiring harness and all just need some help and advice will this swap work will the wiring harness plug into that car, will the motor mounts fit right, and what ever else you can think of that i'll need to do to make this swap work. thanks for any help, Josey

best bet....find a wrecked 96+ gt for cheap, and use it for pats. even if you find a roller that will work.

94-95 gt's had the 5.0 so you are going to need a new k member all new wiring harness, and gauge cluster (120mph in the v6 and 150 in the GT as well as different redline's and the number of uhhh numbers on the tach.) tranny in the v6 was weaker than the gt even though they were both called a t5. and the rear end in a v6 is a 7.5" and while that might be good enough for GM and their camaro's and trans am's....the GT came with a 8.8" to tame the wild beast known to be the 4.6

You DON'T have to change out the speedometer...I still have the 120 one in mine after doing the swap..

You will have to change a ton of other stuff: master cylinder, fan, coolant tank, complete exhaust from headers back, should do the rear axle, as it is a 7.5 and the v8 has the 8.8...also should upgrade the suspension since the v8 is heavier than the 6...tons of other little things...not worth it in my opinion....I would not do it again!

Funny how you throw that in there :nice:
The suspensions are going to be different.
you might as well get a roller.... blown motor or something, and do the swap in that. The GT has multiple suspension differences from the V6.

Its do-able, but its not going to be easy.
Good luck.
