95 3.8 to 5.0 Swap

I'v been searching for info on this on many boards and every time it gets posted everyone just starts tearing at the person who posted it saying sell your 3.8 and buy what you want or the die hard 3.8 guys start chewing that 3.8 supercharged is the way to go, ect, ect, ect, No one seems to be willing to help out anyone and provide any information on this.:notnice: :nonono: Many people just can't afford to buy a 5.0 and I really admire them for taking the time and effort even if they are on a very low budget to build what they want. Basicly I'm looking for information on this swap as well and I am hoping that the crew here will be able to help out and provide a good source of info to help all these die hard stang fans build their dreams.:nice:

Anyone who has info, links, pictures, idea's on how to make this swap easier please post and help all of those looking for this info. :SNSign:

like wytstang said go to my site. Any other information you need feel free to ask me. I will be able to help you out. I just got done doing a 351W Swap for an Old V6 Car that one time was swapped for a 302. he needed more Cubes :)

Yup. If you're going to do the swap, you may as well "go big"! It won't cost any more, since you will have to buy all the stuff to swap it over, anyway. A 351W is the way to go.Most 5.0 guys dream of putting a 351w in their car, you will be a step ahead, if you do. Nice project!!!! (I like the SC3.8, also. I have had a couple of 'Birds.)

I did a swap in my 79 coupe. Somewhat simple swap. Make sure you have
a donor car and take EVERYTHING. There are too many subtle
differences in places you would NEVER think to look. The only answer is
take your time and correct any problems, don't try to force anything
together. Mine came out mint BTW. Good luck man !!!

I just did the swap over the last winter. Way easier then i guy would think.
I took the little ladies car and dropped in a Vulcan crate motor, and about 5 G's worth of new goodies, but i did have a donor car to make things easier.

I like the idea of the donor car cause you never have to go and track things down, ask stupid questions , and get stupid answers. It's all plug and play stuff, plus you get to use the rear end, seats if the donor has leather, i used the spoiler, rims, rear bumper skin, dash cluster so the tach is right, throttle cable bell housing, wiring harness, computer, stupid three sensors in the finder skin (tab, tad and the other one hahaha) and just the other overall parts.

If ya need some help feel free to ask there is a number of guys who have done the swap that will help. But i do warn you when you dump that **** in it only makes you start all over again because now it is just a stock GT, and who wants one of those anyways?
