hello I have a 95 GTS 302 and when I hold the distributor in my hands and try to turn the shaft it's seizing up. is the bearing of the dizzy bad?
I remember the time when I bought it it was easy to turn. what's happening?
do I have to rebuild it or buy a another one?
help is appreciated.

Is it a replacement or original?

Look to see if there is a hole in the casting below the o ring, you could spray some blaster in there to see if it will loosen up but your on borrowed time likely, plan a replacement.

are you saying the distributor is out of the car and you cannot turn the shaft?

As stated in the 1st post, if he's holding it in his hands, what would you say?

exactly. out of the car. I've taken it apart and seen a lot of gunk was inside. I've cleaned and lubed it thoroughly. now I can turn the shaft again.
