Hey guys,

I purchased a T5 harness from some guy but it turned out to be for some other model year, I suspect a 99-04 since it had O2 sensor connectors already on it- but it has the same main connector and the speed sensor and backup switch wires that I need to build a 94-95 harness. I have a picture of the main connector from a T5 94-95 harness, it has 5 pins on it, I just need some help identifying what wires go where.

Heres my diagram I made of the pinout for the 94-95 T5 harness:

Thanks!

The o2 wiring is on the v6 t5 harness,iirc.
94-95 gt,the o2 wiring is bundled with the starter wiring.
94-95 gt t5 harness just has the Tranny wiring,no o2.

That explains it then! I bought it awhile back but I thought the guy said it was a 94-95 harness, then I went to hook it up I was confused to see the O2 sensor harness on it too. I was pretty sure the manual T5 and the Auto O2 stuff shared the same harness, and I did confirm that today, so I knew I had a funky harness here.

Thanks for the help, tomorrow I'm going to start to try to figure out what wires are which with a lot of trial and error with a multimeter between the EEC and the harness, it might take awhile, but I'll still need to confirm. I really can't wait to fire this thing up after a year of work!

FWIW, if this is a swap car, you can reuse the AODE harness for a bit if you need to.

Thanks, didn't know if that would be OK or not. Yes, it is a swap. I could then sell the V6 harness and that will pay for the T5 harness in the meantime.

Usually extra wires don't hurt anything, they just need to be either cut off or tied up out of the way. The T5 only needs VSS and backup light circuits hooked up. I've used 96 and newer V6 T5 harnesses with success, just plugged them in and they worked.
