You people kill me. Hacked it up? It's not a Ferrari. Drive the damn cars you have. I hate going to car shows and seeing all these amazing vehicles getting loaded on and off trailers. Then they come out and just sit there. That does nothing for me.

Its a race car, they raced it... what do you want? I'd rather see a Cobra R that has been driven for its purpose instead of sitting in a garage / trailer its whole life. It's not a piece of furniture.

I don't know what you guys expect, but you bet your ass if I owned a Cobra R I would be putting it through its paces as well.

It's a factory built racecar folks. If you think it looks too hacked up, buy it yourself and fix it back up....

the driver's side delete kit is around $70 from 50resto--it's just a shell that replaces the airbag.

I would hope that the 95r's are underrated as the 94-95 cobras are, because while It is an awesome car, 300hp is a little low, I would think they are quicker than that.

300hp was a lot of power back in 95. Nowdays even v6's make that much power, but still, it was badass when it first came out.

Ok apparently brian you aint never read or herd anything about the 95R. Those cars are extremely nice and after the one and only I have seen in person. I would have to say those things may have no heat, A/C, Back seat, Air bag,fog lights, among other things but i'd still drive the hell out of it. The car was made to race and I can't remember but there is someone in NMRA that is using a Real 95R for drag racing. You know that thing is hacked up to hell and back. To me a collector car or any car is up to the owner do what you want to do and who cares what anyone else thinks.
Don't just make it unique make it YOURS!

true, but the very next model year saw the DOHC cobras w/ 305 hp, more than the factory rating on the R!

Well Ford intended them for racing only, that is why you needed a racing license to buy one. The owner really hacked that one up though, what a shame.

K....it's "hacked" on the inside. I agree. In english, (and I'm sure this is what the first response was supposed to mean) the jobs look like they could have been done a little cleaner, so as to attract both onlookers and the driver. A full blown, stripped race car is awesome, and so is a trailer queen 95R. The seller of this car looks like they just ripped the airbags out, and that's a bit sketchy to me. Just like what was said earlier, a replacement centerpeice for the steering wheel wouldn't be a bad addition. The door panels could be cleaner, as stated earlier, and, in my opinion, the roll cage could have been done with a little more attention to detail.

I would buy that car in an instant, given the money. It was built to race, but also to drive on the street....so a few cosmetic changes inside that car would have made that guy a few more bucks

I think that was Dan "The Desert Eagle" Millen. I'm not 100% sure, but that's the name that came to mind when I read your post.
I think that a lot of these R models did not get raced because when they first came out, the rarity of only 250 units, made it an instant collector car and the prices reflected that. Remember when the '03 Cobra came out? The dealers were charging more than sticker because of the demand. The same thing happened with the '95 R model (to a higher degree though). I think alot of people would love to race them, but the $$ just to buy one is pretty high and then to think of destroying it in a crash. . I think that most people were hoping that the 351 engine was going to stick around, but in fact that was the last year for the pushrod Mustang, go figure!! BTW, I would buy that car in a minute for the Buy It Now price, if I could fit it into the budget, but I know that my wife would make me sell the '94 I have now!!
