it is so freaking ridiculous these ricers...he has all that crap done and still only running a 14.888 wow..but yeah 14.888 ain't happening without internals like cam, pistons, bolt ons, fuel exhaust ignition everything...he is nearing the potential of that n/a engine...but yeah it is doable naturally aspirated with lots of work..

I think a lot of people on stangnet have one track minds. What is he has a B18c5 swap and has cams and other mods. A stock 94-95 GT Auto is not a fast car, period. Im not ragging on stangs here but Im starting to notice that some stang owners are kind of ignorant. Good luck with the race, because if he runs a 14.88 YOU WILL LOOSE.

yea i mena its sad to say but those little things dont seem fast but they are so dam light and if they make like 190 to the wheels which seems like nothing with their dohc vtec motor they could beat an auto mustang, they have a better power to weight ratio, but hondas are gay anyways so who cares, ide rather push a mustang, drive a chevy or walk then drive a honda as my "fast car"

sorry i don't recognise ur name so what mods are u running if any? and auto or manual?

i don't understand all this **** about him lying about a 14.8 track time, the guy has the timeslip, what more is there to ask... and nobody has even asked the threadstarter what mods he's running, for all we know he has a 95 gt STOCK AUTO, which would lose. even a stock manual would have trouble

am i incorrect here?

edit: I'll answer my own question... i am incorrect. hmm i guess he did say what mods he has. so, umm, u will lose.

Note: Everyone was initially going off the Honda having bolt-ons He didn't say the guy had a built engine until the 16th post. Ignorance would be to not question a stock del Sol with some "bolt-ons" running a 14.8 with a 2.3 60'.
As for the original question, anything could happen, just freaking race him already (bench racing accomplishes Nothing)...but odds are you're going to lose.

Well ignorant is not knowing, and everyone does not no everything, so to a extent everyone is ignorant about somethings.

Looked up some specs on the 95 del sol SI and it is pretty sad. 1/4 Mile : 16.6 sec @ 84.9 mph. 125hp @ the flywheel. If he doesent have a motor swap then you might want to ask what mods he has. 14.8 seems pretty fast for bolt ons. Its still a honda and fixing up a honda is like wipping your a** with a turd.

hahahahah

those figures are horrid. To say that he has dropped almost 2 full seconds with just bolt ons with a 4 cylinder is a little far fetched. none of their mods make any real difference unlike our HCI swaps where we gain gobs of power.

I knew you'd see the light...and yes, I guess everyone's ignorant about something or another (I know there's a lot I don't know!)
Here's to fixing up Honda's (although I'd take a S2000 as a daily driver and build a 331 for the stang)

Those track numbers are suspicious. In order to run a 14.8, and trap only 93 mph, you need better than a 2.3 60' time. To get that ET with a 2.3 60', I'd expect a trap closer to 98-99.

B-18 del-sol... built by some shop in ATL. for my friend its nice he just wanted to know if he could keep up. His has head work, header, ignition, full exhaust, new pistons rods and crank but block still has same bore and stroke. It revs. high up to 9 but his tach only goes to like 8500. Anyway his brother drove since he was a better drive and I had a bad coil which was cause me to have to shift at 4500 or it would start missing. Well bout a 1/8 mile a lil around 2 cars or more. It's about to happen again soon he just got cams and well I got a MSD Blaster TFI coil. This time i predict I beat him by 3+ cars.
