Ok well here it goes, I started the interior restore project today by removing the bottom portion of the rear seat. The 1st one came out easy but the 2nd not so much the clip was giving me troubles. But anyway the rear bottoms are out. I replaced the headliner a few weeks ago so now all I lack is everything else. Which I guess carpet and having the seats recovered being the "big ticket" items. I also want to touch up the console and other areas with a rattle can. Do y'all gents have any recommendations on a paint that would adhere well to plastic?
I need to get some "before" pics up to make for a more interesting thread (I'll get on that) but the stock interior came w a black headliner, the gray and black dash, gray console, gray carpet and seats. I'm going to go with black carpet, keep the console gray and have the seats done in black and gray. Gray cloth middles w black vinyl bolsters. The attached image is kinda the look I'm shooting for. Wish me luck.

I second SEM.
I didn't use any adhesion promoter before spraying my dash, air bags or center console and it held up well, except on the center console where the seal belt buckle swivels, on the trans tunnel.

I would use the promoter if I had to do it over again.

I used Dupicolor about 10 years ago, Scarlet red portions of dash and console - still looks like new. Just made sure everything was super clean, No soap or other cleaner left behind, as stated prep is 90% of the effort. Ive heard good things about SEM as well.

Edit: I will say there are some spot on the console that could use it again due to wear like davis3 said.

@GroverDill has Recaros if I am not mistaken. I believe he had Corbeaus and hated them because of the quality! The only thing I don't like about them is the head rest. Other than that they are pretty supportive

I'm gonna ride it out w my supportive oem 95 seats. Ever sat in one? When the foam was/is nice and fresh they hold you pretty well.

Alrighty slow progress due to weather, time and money but. The backseat is out but nothing picture worthy. Anyway I just wanted to pass along that the cheapest price I've found for ACC carpet w the mass backing is $169.24 shipped from rockauto. Even after paying for shipping it's still cheaper than lmrs and Cj pony with cj's and lmrs discount figured in. So unless they'd price match I guess rockauto it is.. @Steve@CJPony @Tyler@LRS

Rock Auto is great. No free shipping, but it usually ends up cheaper anyway. Better part selection, too.

Yeah I ordered some balljoints from em once and the order got screwed around so I ended up canceling and buying from the parts store for a little more. That's my only experience w em and I'm sorta gunshy about ordering from them again but for the price difference I may take another gamble.

Not going to lie, I can't even come close to matching that price. Sorry.

RockAuto wins again. I bought 2 clutch/brake pedal pads for $15.22. American Muscle wanted $15 and some odd for one.

I do not know how I missed this the first time you posted, but I will add anyway. Eastwood (the primo restoration supplier) sells SEM. That seals it for me. Use TSP (a bubble free soap stuff) to scrub the heck out of the parts several times and used whatever they suggest for cleaner/adhesion promoter. Armor All residue will ruin your day,

I used Krylon Vinyl dye on an airbag, and "temporarily" dyed the carpet on some door panels 25+ years ago with a parts store brand dye. The kick panels are still as dark as the new floor carpet, and the Krylon lasted longer than the rest of the Ford did in a MASSIVE hail storm.
Anyway, it's all about the prep work.

Let's see the results,please.
