95 gt spark problem need advice

Hey guys

I am new to the forum just bought a ford.....
I just purchased a 95 gt with a 5.0 in it. 1st day i purchased it the dist went out and would not start... changed dist problem gone, now i have a new problem, 2 spark plug terminals next to each other at dist cap do not fire 100% of the time... has new cap,rotor,wires and dist... any advice would be appreciated... is this a common problem with these cars?

If the distributor you got is a rebuild or reman one from a local parts store I would start by throwing it in the trash and getting a Ford one.

But maybe that is just me, I've had horrible luck with rebuilt ones...

The Dizzy is Rebuilt or re manufactured, but it just seems funny or in my case not so funny how 6 of the cyln hit and the other 2 dont, spark only flows out every so often. from these Two. You can put a timing light on them and it will not even light it????? . i have read on this forum a lot of story's of people having the same type of problems with these 5.0... Sounds like there is a Dizzy issues, Some of these Cars have intermittent problems, or just go out with no warning.. I have had plenty of cars in my 40+ years of life and never seen or heard of a particular brand of auto having this kind of problems with a Dizzy. Sounds flawed to me, i would hate for my wife to be driving home one evening and this just happen to her and the car just dies..... HUH...
