95 GT vs 04 Mach 1

I have two buddies with Mach 1's, we went to the dyno and they put down 275-277 rwhp and 315 rwtq. With my mods I only put down 207 rwhp and 254 rwtq. Would the "tuned and chiped" addition of TFS twisted wedge heads and a Crane 2030 cam, put me at or above these numbers? I know all cars react diff to mods, so just speak from your own experances. Thanks

94opalgt: Wow those are great numbers for a stock cam. In comparision to your set up, if my cam selection makes up for what I'm missing in the intake (TFS intake being better than Cobra), then your right, the numbers should come out to close to yours. Those numbers are encouraging, thanks

Was it a dynojet or mustang dyno? The only reason I ask is because your numbers seem kinda low, w/a gt-40 upper and lower, equal lenghts, off road, and cat back, pullies, I dyno'd 245rwhp, 292 rwtq. Might want to chk out your car, make sure you don't have something small like an exhaust leak or any codes or anything that may affect power. (double chk your mods if you did it yourself). And I'm sure with those tw heads and tune you'd be right there or above.

It was on a DynaPack. They are supposed to be a really accurate dyno. My numbers were only 195 rwhp, untill we bumped the timing to 14. I thought they seemed a little low, but then again I really don't know what other people with my mods are putting down for numbers. Thanks, I'll check it out

yeah,i ran out of cash before i could get the cam so we went with the stocker for now.im gonna try to get it over 300 with a set of long tubes.fingers are crossed.if that dont work im gonna pull the intake off and port the lower and see what that does.

your numbers seem way low for what you have. you should at least be in the mid 200hp range IMO. make sure you don't have anything wrong...

you put on heads and a cam you should be a bit over 300 hp

I put a vac gauge on my intake and it is perfect (17). Intake vac also passed all reaction to throttle tests. A/F ratio was at @13.0 with 14 deg timing when dynoed. The car has no engine codes. The exhaust leak is my only possibility because I do get a metallic sputter under load. It can not be heard when neutral revving. If I'm on the highway in fifth and give it some gas to speed up, that type of load creates a sputter.
I thought it was pinging but I had a local shop drive the car and they said it is not pinging and almost sounds normal for a mustang with a off-road h-pipe on it. He called it a metallic reseinace, basically the sound bouncing off of a hollow pipe. I don't know, I think I'm really going to search for an exhaust leak. I'll look for carbon trails.
