Well me and RIO95 were screwing around the other night and decided we needed to race from a stop a few times to see how fast my car is now that is has no blower.

Here's a quick rundown of the cars.

Car A. 95 gts with p heads, trickflow stage 1 cam, trickflow intake, fullexhaust, deleted A/C and rear seat, no power options, 4:10 gears and nitto drags.

Car B. 96 Cobra, Forged internals with stock heads, cams, intake, Deleted IMRC's, Full exhaust, 90mm lighting maf, 30# injectors, Griggs gr40 suspension on bald street tires, 3:73 gears.

Both cars are untuned mine running rich and justins running perfect but with power left in a tune.

We raced 4 times from a dead stop with 2 people in each car. I drove mine the first 2 times and then we both switched and raced again 2 more times. It was DEAD EVEN every time. Not more then a fenders difference each time.

It's the coolest thing too cuz both cars are completely different in almost every way. One was heavy (mine) one was light. One had neck snapping torque and the other had very smooth high rpm power.

Just thought I'd share cuz it was so close. Both cars tuned are 12.90 cars. pretty cool in my book

Holy Sheeet, you just answered my question about which color to go with and the answer is red. The red car stands out a lot more and is nicer. I'm keeping the red. Sorry for being off topic but this is what I'm talking about:http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=580275

PS congrats on keepin up with him but with your combo, I expected it.

i honestly thought that the cobra might start to pull away around the top of third and into fourth....cars both sound extremely awesome, and look equally as good, and i think the white one is just as nice as the red one but in a different way. both cars have a nice look to them.

Intake manifold runner controls-keeps 8 of the intake valves closed until 3250rpms, helps low end torque
IMRC's were used on the 96-98 cobras, i think they stopped them after that

You are dead on with the IMRC description. And they were deleted because they need cleaning often and they tend to build up gunk on the runners that have them. With Gears The imrc's are not an issue so don't think I just some idiot that deleted them for no reason

It isn't fair for me to say mine would pull away after 105mph because the red one runs out of gear at that point so...You are probably right though

yeah gears have to be taken into account for, but the modular 4V just seems a lot more at home in the upper rpm ranges of the higher gears, cuz of its long powerband, my old 4V had a similar set up as yours, and ran very good.

Yep, that's weird how the camera tends to do that. I don't know, maybe cause we're used to seeing them in person all the time and the camera brings out the "real appearance" like a picture of the moon. Small in person, but big in a pic.
