95 hood latch

After clean my engine bay today, I noticed that my hood will no longer latch. It gave me problems the other week but I managed to get it shut properly. Now it will close but not completely. It'll rise up and down but gets caught by that safety lock? Where can i get a new hood latch assembly at? How much do they run? thanks

I think these cars had a hood latch recall. I know mine car was brought in for the recall by its first owner.

there was a recall for the hood latch, and the layering on the hoods... they seperate and kill drivers at high speeds sorry, not funny, but it sounded funny when FORD called me about it

I picked up a '96+ type of latch (with the yellow push button type instead of a lever) from the Ford dealer for $26

I would get a ride to the auto parts store and pick up some hood pins right away. That is nothing to play with, I dont think the hood would kill you but whatever you hit cause you cant see might.

just went to ford...there was no recall for my car about the hood latch or hood. Only the fan and parking brake. So i just bought the hood latch for $43. I'm definately getting hood pins when I get my new hood this summer.
