I found a 95 lightning rear end with 4.10 gears and i believe it has 31 spline axles. How much work would be involved to swap in the rear? I've heard that the axles in the lightning are longer than the mustang, but i would just like some input from someone who has done the swap before or is familiar. thanx.

The axle on the lightning is listed as a heavy duty 8.8. There are cooling fins all over it and probably some other stuff I haven't noticed. I'm not sure how much wider it is then a mustang 8.8 but the F-150 is pretty wide.
