95 motor tranny swap

That's a rough undertaking of a project man. Just e-bay or Craigslist 94-95 Mustang GT motor, engine, block, etc.... There's a long block on e-bay right now with ALL the accessories for like 425, then you can pick up whatever other harnesses, etc you need. You can find AODE stuff real cheap, t5 stuff is a little more pricey. But don't try retrofitting earlier engines into your car unless it's just the short/long block assembly, the wiring will prove to be a pain.

If your interested in going with a 2v motor I have everything you should need to do a swap. I have the 4.6 motor and 5 speed transmission, 8.8 rearend, drive shaft, cluster, engine and transmission wiring harness, and computer. I would sell the combo for 1800.00 if you want it

Some days I forgot I did this. VERY easy here it is.

YOU NEED

94/95 fuel lines
distributor
fuel rails
ecu harness and ecu
ccrm fan control as the v6 will not cool well enough
throttle cable

starter is the same, so is the rad and fan

any 5.0 t5 will work but 94 95 is 5/8' longer. the bell housing is 5/8' thinker and the pressure plate. If you use the shorter trans you will need a drive shaft spacer.

If you swap the t5 you will need the t5 harness, drive shaft, bell housing clutch fork, clutch, fly wheel, clutch pedal, and clutch cable, cross member.
I never did this swap so someone else will probably fill in more that I forgot.

A 91, 92, 93 cougar has the same engine, accesories as a 94/95, but they have a forged bottom end. Not sure about other years. I also know the 93 has a cobra cam, yes that's right a cobra cam (kinda cool)

Early model 5.0's have a different alt. and harness. their front cover is much different. 94/95 is closer to the block has different brackets and the water pump spins in the opposite direction

8.8's are very interchageable between explorers rangers f 150's, but be carful not all are alike. I used a fox housing, my 7.5 axels and brakes. Aswell as brakes lines complete off the housing(they are on different sides of the car fox to sn95), and the backing plates. the I got a 28 slpline f 150 trac lock and 3.55's. Very cheap way to go.

You will need exhaust, but why put used junk on there anyways. I would keep the 88 motor you have and start collecting parts, unless you come across a donor for cheap.

I'm at work and kinda busy so I may have forgot something. If I remember more I'll post later. email me at [email protected] for more info.
