95 Mustang 5.0 and MSD Programmable

I getting ready to turbo my 95 gt mustang and was looking into the msd programmable. If I pull the spout the out and use the msd box to program the timing curve, will it work? Ive called holley but have received mixed information on it's capabilities without the use of a billet distributor.

The instructions say that "If you are programming the timing functions of the ignition, the distributor will require being locked-out." Pulling the spout connector locks the timing at the base timing you set so that should do it.

That's cool. Does it work off of a map signal for load, or is it totally RPM based with, essentially, a single timing curve?
