hey guy is there any could help me locate the start for my mustang (1995 5.0L mustage GT auto trans).....

Any website that you could recommend to get help finding this type of info......

Also, know anywhere I could get a replacement starter for my car @ a low price ....thanks

If I understand your question correctly, you need to know the location of the starter on the car right? If so, it is on the passenger side where the engine meets the transmission bellhousing. Held on by 2 bolts. As far as a cheap on goes, check your local parts stores. There isn't much of a price difference between them and the internet suppliers. You'd get it faster and not pay for freight.

I understand you are trying to find information on the web, but 18 bucks on a Haynes manual is well worth it. Step by step instructions with pictures using regular tools = godsend.

Oh, the starter is held in place by two bolts, and the top bolt must be one of the hardest bolts to remove on our cars. A helping friend might be necessary.

Yeah that starter is a mother. If you want one from a local parts store i would get a ford starter, if you want you could get a high torque from summit, i am on my 3rd from advanced auto parts. It was lifetime warranty, all my wires are good doesn't grind or anything on the flywheel and they just keep giving out, i figured i would throw out this option. I wish i had went with a high torque instead of factory, or at the very least a motorcraft.

Well, you can go to Advance and get a piece of crap that was crammed into a box with a warranty label slapped onto it and replace it every few months or you can invest the extra dollars in a quality Mean Green starter and never replace it. I don't understand why everyone runs to Advance to buy crap. There was a day when people saved their money to buy the best for their cars.

Have my original Ford starter from 1995 and 106,000 miles on it, They dont build em like the OEM from the parts store on the corner. This is one thing the I can say about Ford starters, I had 3 AutoZone starters and this was within 3 months on a truck. JUNK

I remember hearing somewhere that the 94-95s came with the high torque mini starters, is that true?

I will have to agree about the mini size of the starter. I had the old Iron Duke 2.5 Liter 4 Banger in an Olds way back in the 90's. That starter was bigger than the OEM one that is on the Mustang. A lot bigger. I would not classify the Ford OEM starter like a real racing mini starter in a Jegs catalog, but it is definately small.

yeah when the starter goes out and you about a block from the local parts store and about 20 miles from home no ford dealership open on the weekends, you don't have a whole lot of choice, especially whe n the tow bill will be more than the starter. So i really don't need a lecture about saving money, to go buy good parts when i had the money but handled the situation with things at hand.
