I am going to be upgrading my alternator on my 92 and I want to know which one I should go for. I am going to be running underdrive pulleys, an electric fan, and a system? Any help would be appreciated. What does the stock alternator push amp wise during idle? Is there anything else I should get for the installation and where is the cheapest place to buy these alternators and anything else I would need?

Go all out. Either the 130, or 200 amp alternator. I bought mine from PA Performance, excelent piece, and it is brand new, not rebuilt. You won't be sorry.

Definitely get a 130 amp alternator and do it right. You will be happy you did especially with an electric fan. If you are going to run underdrive pulleys I highly recommend getting an overdrive pulley for the alternator so you get max charging at idle. You'll want it with the electric fan.

No less than 130 for sure. I run an electric fan and have a system and I sometimes think my 130a isn't enough with the headlights on at night.

I have the www.paperformance.com 130 amp alternator also with an electric fan...I also think sometimes it can't keep up with the headlights, a/c, radio, electric fan,...when I turn on my a/c my car occasionaly will turn off? The revs drop and go off...wonder why?

But paperformance has good 3g upgrades and has easy to read instructions with color pictures

go find a junk yard in your area that will give you some kind of warranty (mine gave me a 91 day warranty), get a 2000 up v6 alternator and the plug and you will be set. 2000 up v6 alt. are the same 130 amp alt that were used on 94-95 gt's and mine only cost me 40.00

Yeah I got the pullies also...I hate having to think about turning on my a/c...I make sure my revs are up or I'm cruising before I turn on the a/c so it doesn't turn off...what could stop this?...more ampage (overdrive pulley)?

Will this be a direct bolt on or will I still have to modify the mounting bracket? And will the plug just plug right in or will I have to splice things together?
