96-98 cobra x-pipe to 99+gt

I had a thread open earlier in talk concerning a similiar topic but now I have a tech type question concerning an x-pipe. I may or may not be looking at a bassani x pipe tomorrow depending on your feedback. The x pipe was on a 97 cobra and i was wondering if it would fit on my 02 gt. Thank you

one more question, how about a 96-98 gt x-pipe on a 99+ mustang? I heard that it will fit but i just want a positive answer before i blow $250 down the drain.
