96-98 guys with pi intakes

Is there anyone in Socal that has installed one of these on a 98 before, and would like to help a fellow stanger out. My friends arent really all that helpful and keep flaking on me. And i dont feel confident doing this on my own, especially when i dont have that much knowledge of engines at all. Those instructions above help. But im still confused on a lot of it and how to do it. Especially when it comes to doing the fuel. So anyone in Socal that could help?

Ok, follow those directions on that link. When you get to the part of putting the intake on the heads, you put RTV on the coolant port of the head and PI gasket.

I will post the pics of where the RTV is required.

The PI gasket on a SVO head, exact same intake ports and coolant ports as the NPI head.

The exact area that requires the RTV

The circled area is where you add the RTV to the gasket and head to completely seal off the coolant.

The other coolant port on the head. Just so you see that it does not require RTV.

Now you have to modify the intake, that link tells you how to do it. You do not have to buy a modified intake.

Any chance you still have these pics lying around? Would help me out a lot.

I have them @ home.. if no one posts for you by the time i get out of work, I'll put them up.

I'd like you guys to know that the PI gaskets really are the way to go. My NPIs + RTV were in rough shape after only a year or so... and looked like they had developed a leak. Plus if you need to pull the intake for any sort of repairs, good luck getting the old RTV off, it took me an hour to get a flat surface.

Those picks are posted in the 96-96 4.6 area over on www.sn95forums.com i'm not home so i can't access them now.
also united majority shut down...i think mr jones was tired of telling people he had no more plates for sale...lol

haha yeah, I'm sure he got lots of emails asking for them... its weird though because his site had game forums and other stuff on there, not just Mustang related articles.
