My 96 Cobra with 70K miles had one side IMRC working, and one with the cable connector broken off. The car was a dog.

Decided to delete the IMRCs rather than fix them and keep dealing with them over and over. At the same time, I changed the gears to 4.10 and added an aluminum driveshaft and Steeda suspension. Only other mods are Bassani X pipe and a JLT cold air.

Dont know what it put to the wheels before the IMRC delete, as I put in a basic tune meant to kept it safe and limited to 4K RPM until I could get it Dyno tuned. First pull, it put around 175 HP to the wheels. Final pull, it put 271 to the wheels. Feels like a proper cobra now.

That's more like it! What calibration changes were made to get the HP back up? Was it as simple as letting the ECU know that the IMRCs were removed to get the right spark maps?

BTW: Your Cobra looks great! I love how the '98 wheels look on SN95s, especially in white. I've run them on my '95 Cobra since 2005, and recently purchased the LMR 9" replicas to go wider on the rears. I didn't have a chance to do anything with them this year due to work over-load, but I'm planning to go with 275s next year.

Thanks! We used a SCT X4 for the tuning. I don’t recall exactly what all my tuner calbrated when it was on the Dyno, but it was a lot of tables, lol.
