Was under my 96 cobra and noticed the transmission is stamped tremec on it, I thought on the 96 it would be stamped Borg Warner? Trying to figure out if this is the original trans or not. What year did the transmission go from Borg warner stamped on it to tremec? __________________
The T-45 was a Borg Warner transmission until 98 or 99. Tremec bought the rights to several Borg Warner transimssion....the T-56 and T-45 were just some of them. If it is stamped TREMEC, then more than likely, it is not the original transmission.
