first off, new here lol

anyways, just got another stang. this time a 96 gt.
showin a cyl 4 misfire, which is passenger side, closest to firewall.
changed plugs, wires, and both ignition coils, all of which needed to be changed anyways.

still have the misfire. you only notice it under load. i unplugged the injector while it was running and it runs 10 times worse, so i dont think its the injector.

can anyone help me out???

Did it missfire when you got it ? Or did it just start doing it ?

Could be number of things. Bad wire or Moisture in the cyl.

I agree with roger check to see if you have coolant or moisture getting down the plug wells. thats somewhat common on these. you could also have a partialy clogged injector on number 4 that allows enough fuel at idle but can't flow enough to support high load combustion.

it's also quite possible that the misfire is on a different cylinder now, if you can use a ford scan tool ( WDS,IDS) then you can do a power balance test and you will be able to see on the screen what cylinder is dropping out. If you can get access to one of these then also fun a fuel injector test, that will help if it is a clogged injector.
